Been too long...

Well..I was very nicely informed over the weekend that it's been TOO long since I wrote a post..I guess I have to agree since it's been almost 6 months.  

Doug's father got remarried to a wonderful woman named Carolyn in April.  Doug was his father's best man in the wedding and I read I Corinthians 13:4-13

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

The wedding was nice, hopefully we'll have pictures soon.  :)

Doug turned 35 and Daddy turned 76 in June.  

August 8th I was diagnsed with Type 2 Diabetes and High Cholesterol, I'm on meds for both and making an attempt to eat better. It scares me, because I know that there can be SO many complications from diabetes.  It can make everything else that happens to you, worse.   It's something I will have to think about and manage for the rest of my life.

August 13th would have been Mama's 73rd birthday, but instead was the 8 month anniversary of her death.  Rest in Peace Mama..Rest in Peace.

So now we're coming up on vacation time.  We'll be vacationing in Bedford, PA in the beginning of October and Becki, Ray and Elijah will be going to Branson, Missouri for the Feast this year.  

So..that's about it for now...anyone have suggestions for posts?  Send me a comment...
